Winter Storm Warning

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning  for northeast Illinois in effect from January 18, 3:00 p.m. until 12:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19. (Click here for details.) The current forecast calls for snow, mainly after 7:00 p.m. The snow could be heavy at times with blowing snow and 15 to 20 mph winds, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Metra passengers are advised to allow extra travel time to their boarding station and to exercise caution on boarding platforms or near the tracks. At this time, Metra plans to operate a normal schedule. Any changes to those plans will be posted on our website and through customer alerts.
