Next Stop: Weekend Fun in the City

The days are getting shorter, but there’s no shortage of fun in and around Chicago and Metra can take you to most of it. Our $10 Weekend Pass offers unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday, and Family Fares, where up to three children 11 and under ride free with an adult on weekends and select holidays make it easy and affordable to enjoy a trip downtown on the train. Purchase a ticket or use a Monthly, 10-Ride Ticket, or Metra’s $10 Weekend Pass as the adult fare. Monthly Pass holders are permitted to use their tickets for unlimited weekend travel across the Metra system. This allows Monthly Pass holders to travel outside the zones indicated on their passes at no additional cost on Saturdays and Sundays.

Once you click here to find your rail line and click here to view Travel Guides that give you easy-to-use travel information from your downtown terminal, you’ll have everything you need for a day of fun in the city.

By taking Metra, you’ll enjoy the stress-free way to travel and the kids will enjoy the fun and excitement of a train ride.
