Elimination of Ticket-by-Internet program

Due to declining internet ticket sales, Metra is eliminating the Ticket-by-Internet program – which includes recurring orders and one-time sales of Monthly Passes and 10-Ride Tickets on its website. The last day to purchase a Monthly Pass (July) via this program will be June 20 and the last day to purchase a 10-Ride Ticket will be June 30. This action is part of a continuing effort by Metra to identify ways to reduce expenses. Please see alternate purchasing options here.

Metra Electric Service on Schedule to Serve McCormick Place for Obama’s Farewell Address

(January 10, 2017) - 

Metra reminds customers and other guests expected to attend President Barack Obama’s farewell address today that the Metra Electric Line has a station at McCormick Place and provides regular service to this venue. 
 

The regular weekday schedule will be in effect during tonight’s event. However,  

Metra will have an additional outbound train on standby to accommodate event attendees departing McCormick Place after the event.

“Metra’s Electric Line has plenty of capacity to serve the crowds expected at tonight’s event and we hope guests will take advantage of the safe, convenient and affordable train service we provide,” said Metra Executive Director/CEO Don Orseno.
