Judges will select one first, second and third place safety poster contest winner from each grade, K-12. Winners will receive the following prizes:
- First Place: iPad
- Second Place: $250 Gift Card
- Third Place: $100 Gift Card
In addition, winning poster designs will be featured in Metra's 2017 Safety Calendar, on the contest website, in station displays and on weekend tickets. Metra will recognize the school who submits the most entries in the 2015-2016 Safety Poster and Essay Contest by awarding it a new computer compatible with its current system. Each school's entries will be tallied after the contest deadline on Friday, Jan. 29, 2016 and a computer will be presented to the winning school.
Students can also enter the Annual Metra Safety Essay Contest for your chance to win an iPad. Contest participants are asked to tell us in 300 words or less how you "Make Safety Your Focus" when near trains and railroad tracks. One winner will be selected from each of the following groups, Elementary School (grades K-4), Middle School (grades 5-8) and High School (grades 9-12). The winner of each group will receive an iPad.
