Quick schedule links added to Metra website
In response to feedback from numerous riders about our new website, Metra has added a way to quickly and easily view the entire schedule for each of our 11 lines.
With just three clicks, riders can view a page displaying the entire schedule for the line they want to use. Here’s how: from the home page, click on “Maps and Schedules.” Then click on your line on the left side of the page. You’ll be taken to the schedule page for that line. At the bottom of the “Schedule Finder” column, click on the link for “View Full Timetable.” You’ll then view a new page containing the inbound and outbound schedules for weekday, Saturday and Sunday/Holiday service. (Not all lines operate on weekends.) That page can then be bookmarked for even faster viewing in the future.
The full schedule page can also be reached by selecting your line under the “Know Your Line?” headline on the home page. You are taken to the schedule page for that line, where you can click on the “View Full Timetable” link.
Riders still can create a customized schedule by entering their departure and destination stations in our handy schedule tool. The results not only include the schedule for the selected stations but also the prices of various tickets – such as monthly passes, 10-ride tickets and one-way tickets – for the trip. There’s also a link to our online store, where monthly passes and 10-ride tickets can be purchased with a credit or debit card.
