Fall Events

Fall is the perfect time to check out what the Chicago area has to offer and Metra is the perfect way to get you there. Metra’s weekend ticket is the best deal around – five dollars buys you unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday, and up to three children age 11 and under can ride free with each fare-paying adult. Why drive?

Here are just some of the events on the fall calendar:

DinoNites at Brookfield Zoo – On Oct. 16-18, 23-25 and 30-31, Brookfield Zoo will be open from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. for Halloween-themed events, including the Dinosaurs Alive! exhibit. For more information, go to www.brookfieldzoo.org.

Chicagoween – From Oct. 23 to Oct. 31, Daley Plaza will be transformed into “Franken Plaza,” with a variety of Halloween-related activities. Other events are planned throughout the city.

Chicago Bears – The Monsters of the Midway have home games on Nov. 1, 8 and 22 and Dec. 6, 13 and 28. Metra has added service to these games.
