Service to Bears Games

Metra and the CTA are a winning combination for Bears’ fans who ride Metra and arrive at our Ogilvie Transportation Center or Union Station terminals. Just hop aboard the CTA’s #128 Soldier Field Express for only $1.00 each way. CTA Passes, Transit Cards, and Transfers can be used for bus fares. For children 7-11, the CTA fare is $0.50. Children age 6 and under ride free with a fare paying customer.

The #128 Soldier Field Express will depart from Metra's Ogilvie Transportation Center (Southbound on Clinton at Madison) and from Union Station (Northbound on Canal) and run Express to Soldier Field. Service starts 2 hours prior to kickoff and resumes for
1 hour after the game on a load and go basis.

For Bears’ fans coming from the south, the Metra Electric has added a “Bears Extra” train for all Sunday 12:00 PM games, as well as the Sunday 3:15 PM and Sunday 7:20 PM kickoffs. Regular daily train service will conveniently serve the pre-season and the December weekday games. Just get off at 18th Street and walk to the game. For all games, the Bears Extra will depart Museum Campus/11th Street after the game.

For Bears’ fans arriving at Metra’s LaSalle Street Station, walk east on Van Buren to State Street and take the #146 bus south to Soldier Field. Regular CTA fares apply to #146.

On Metra, you can really score big on weekend games too! Our $5 Weekend Pass is a game saver, and Family Fares allow up to three children age 11 and under to ride free.

For the 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM kickoffs, Metra Electric train 132 and 136 will stop at 18th street. A post-game train will depart Museum Campus/11th Streetabout 20 minutes afterall games and make all stops listed on the "BearsExtra" train.
