Getting to U.S. Cellular Field
If you live close to a station along the Rock Island, drive your car to the station and let Metra get you to the game on time. With Metra’s new 35th Street/“Lou” Jones Station’s convenient location to U.S. Cellular Field, you’ll be walking distance to all the White Sox action. Just hop aboard a Rock Island train and get off at the 35th Street/Lou “Jones” Station and walk west on 35th Street to the ballpark. Plus, on weekends, an extra inbound train will arrive approximately 45 minutes prior to the scheduled first pitch for both the 1:10p.m. and 3:10 p.m. starts. From LaSalle Street Station:
Just hop aboard a Rock Island train and get off at the 35th Street/“Lou” Jones Station, then walk west on 35th Street to the ballpark.
Getting to LaSalle Street Station from Union Station:
Cross the river and walk five blocks east on Jackson to LaSalle Street, then walk one block south to Van Buren Street. Hop aboard a Rock Island train and get off at the 35th Street/“Lou” Jones Station, then walk west on 35th Street to the ballpark.
Getting to LaSalle Street Station From Ogilvie Transportation Center:
Cross the river and walk five blocks east on Madison to LaSalle Street, then walk four blocks south to Van Buren Street.
Getting to LaSalle Street Station From Millennium or Van Buren Street Stations:
From Millennium Station, walk six blocks south on Michigan to Van Buren, then walk five blocks west on Van Buren; from Van Buren Street Station, walk five blocks west on Van Buren to LaSalle Street. If you’d prefer getting to the park via the Red Line Subway from LaSalle Street Station, just walk three blocks east to the Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked 95th/Dan Ryan south to Sox/35th.
From Union Station to the Red Line Subway:
Cross the river and walk six blocks east to State Street or board CTA bus #1 or 151 south on Canal to Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked 95th/Dan Ryan south to Sox/35th.
From Ogilvie Transportation Center via the Red Line Subway:
Cross the river and walk six blocks east to State Street or board any CTA bus east on Washington to Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked 95th/Dan Ryan south to Sox/35th.
From Millennium or Van Buren Street Stations via the Red Line Subway:
Walk to Randolph and State Street to the Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked 95th/Dan Ryan south to Sox/35th.
Getting to Wrigley Field
From Union Station:
Cross the river and walk six blocks east to State Street or board CTA bus #1 or 151 south on Canal to Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked Howard north to Addison.
From Ogilvie Transportation Center:
Cross the river and walk six blocks east to State Street or board any CTA bus east on Washington to Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked Howard north to Addison.
From Metra’s Union Pacific North Line:
Travel aboard Metra to Davis Street, then walk about one block to CTA’s Purple Line at Davis Street. Travel aboard the Purple Line to Howard and transfer to the Red Line to Addison, just steps to Wrigley Field.
From Metra's Union Pacific Northwest Line:
Take the CTA's #80 Irving Park bus from the Irving Park Station east to Clark, then walk a couple blocks south to Addison. Click here to see the bus schedule.
From Millennium or Van Buren Street Stations:
Walk to Randolph and State Street to the Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked Howard north to Addison.
From LaSalle Street Station:
Passengers who ride the Rock Island trains may also depart at the 35th Street/"Lou" Jones station and walk 1/2 block west to connect with the CTA Red Line.
Walk three blocks east to the Red Line (State Street Subway); take train marked Howard north to Addison.
From Metra's Milwaukee District North Line:

Alcohol is allowed on board Metra trains however it is not allowed on City property.
8-4-030 Drinking in public ways.
- (a) It shall be unlawful for any person to drink any alcoholic liquor as defined by law on any public way or in or about any motor vehicle upon a public way in the city. This section shall not apply to portions of the public way occupied by a sidewalk café permitted pursuant to Chapter 10-28 of the municipal code which is properly licensed to sell alcoholic liquor, or to any portion of the public way located on Navy Pier; or to any venue holding a valid Riverwalk Venue liquor license under Section 4-60-074.
- (b) It shall be unlawful for any person to transport, carry, possess or have any alcoholic liquor in or upon or about any motor vehicle upon any public way in the city except: (1) in the original package and with the seal unbroken, or (2) in a package properly sealed, bagged and receipted pursuant to Section 6-33 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934, added by P.A. 94-1047, effective January 1, 2007, and codified at 235 ILCS 5/6-33, as amended.
- (c) Any person violating any provision of this section shall be fined not less than $100.00 nor more than $500.00 or shall be punished by imprisonment for a period of six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
8-16-050 Intoxication.
- Any minor who shall be intoxicated, or who shall purchase, offer to purchase, or in any manner obtain unlawfully for his personal use any intoxicating liquor, shall be fined not more than $25.00 for the first offense, and not more than $100.00 for every subsequent offense.
8-16-060 Alcoholic liquor.
- It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, give or deliver any alcoholic liquor to a person under the age of 21 years. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 21 years to purchase, deliver, possess, give or consume alcoholic liquor.
