Project Description:
Tinley Park is overseeing construction of a new station, including a new station building, new warming shelters, ADA ramps and a new pedestrian tunnel. For more information see the Tinley Park website. Metra is responsible for rebuilding, extending and raising the platforms. The inbound platform will be extended to the west, and then the eastern portion of the inbound platform will be out of service starting May 31st, 2011 until the end of 2011 to construct the new station house and new platform. Extension of the outbound platform will also begin in May.
