Dear Metra Electric and South Shore Line Customers, Please accept our apologies for the disruption in service and lengthy delays that occurred on the Metra Electric and South Shore Lines on Friday evening. As you know, at the start of the rush hour Metra Electric Train No. 128 derailed as it was switching between tracks at a switching location near 11th Street in Chicago.
