Mark Delaney

Chief Capital Delivery Officer

Mr. Delaney was named Chief Capital Delivery Officer in February 2022. He oversees Metra’s Capital Delivery Department, which is responsible for the delivery of capital infrastructure projects from design through construction. These projects include bridges, building, passenger stations, traction power substations and related infrastructure, and other electrical and mechanical projects.
 
He has worked with Metra for 10 years as a signal engineer, manager of PTC engineering, and director of PTC engineering, prior to overseeing the Capital Delivery Department. He was instrumental in developing Metra’s PTC program prior to the federally mandated deadline of 2020.
 
Mr. Delaney earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Valparaiso University. He has worked in the rail industry for 25 years. He and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in September 2023 with their three daughters.
