Bears fans, add Metra to your game plan

Chicago, Monday, September 11, 2006 - It's a snap to beat the crowds to every home game this season.

Bears fans have direct service to Soldier Field on the Metra Electric District via the 18th Street and Roosevelt Road stations located near Soldier Field. A special train on the main line to University Park also has been scheduled to provide convenient arrivals and departures to all home games.

Bears fans from the west, north and northwest suburbs riding into Chicago Union Station or Ogilvie Transportation Center can board the CTA's No.128 Express and be taken to Soldier Field for $1 each way.

· For Bears fans riding any of the three Union Pacific Lines into the city, buses depart from Metra's Ogilvie Transportation Center on the north side of Madison Street.
· Fans riding into Union Station on the Burlington Northern and Milwaukee District lines can board buses on the northwest corner of Jackson and Canal.

Fans taking the Rock Island District can walk east on Van Buren Street from the LaSalle Street Station to State Street and hop on the CTA's No. 146 Bus for regular bus service to Soldier Field.

Fans can also take advantage of Metra's $5 unlimited ride weekend pass. Additionally, up to three children under age 12 ride free with a fare-paying adult.
